HT360 Ambassador Edit: 5 questions with Tommy Giraux, Head of Restaurant Systems - Honest Burgers Ltd
As an HT360 Ambassador and Head of Restaurant Systems at Honest Burgers, Tommy Giraux brings sharp insight and no-nonsense thinking to the table. In this rapid-fire Q&A, he shares where tech should be heading, what’s missing from most events, and why HT360 is different by design.
What’s one piece of hospitality tech you think every operator should be exploring right now and why?
A proper forecasting and scheduling system. Not templates. Not guesswork. Something that learns your patterns and helps you deploy smartly.
If you get labour right, everything else gets easier. It cuts stress for managers, keeps teams happier, and protects margins.
From your perspective, what’s the biggest opportunity for tech to improve the guest experience in the next 12 months?
Personalised service, without it feeling creepy. Quick, seamless recognition of the guest so you can greet them, serve them, and fix issues faster.
If the tech does the heavy lifting in the background, the team can focus on being human.
If your tech stack had a signature cocktail, what would it be called, and what would be in it?
"The Stack Old Fashioned"
Bourbon base (I’m a Bourbon guy)
A dash of data
A splash of AI
Bitters made from past mistakes
Served over one big integration cube
How do you see HT360 filling a gap in the current hospitality event landscape?
It lands at a time of year when there aren’t many events, and it focuses purely on tech. No food stands. No drinks suppliers. No random kit you don’t need.
Operators get to actually talk tech with people who understand restaurants. Vendors get real conversations instead of foot traffic.
A big part of HT360 is practical innovation, what’s one real challenge you would love to see solved live on the show floor?
A way to view multiple products without the hard sell. Show me what your system does, how it connects, and how it fixes a real problem.
No pressure. No cornering people. A proper, honest look at the tools we’re all trying to understand.
