Mark Chapman
Mark Chapman is the founder and CEO of Zero Carbon Services and Zero Carbon Forum.
He first launched Zero Carbon Services - originally called Carbon Statement - as one of the UK’s earliest climate-tech and advisory businesses. Beginning with hospitality clients, he pioneered an approach to measure and reduce emissions by combining data analysis with behaviour change to cut carbon and costs. Inspired by watching An Inconvenient Truth in 2008, Mark believes the solutions to climate change will be led through business sectors collaborating to decarbonise together at pace.
The Zero Carbon Forum is a non-profit collaboration Mark established in 2020. It works with leading UK hospitality operators to build resilient, efficient brands – and to shift the sector as a whole - through credible climate action by sharing data, tools and best practice.
Believing that true sustainability and successful businesses go hand in hand, Mark champions strategies that drive profit with purpose, by eliminating waste, building resilience and enhancing brands while accelerating the journey to net zero. Zero Carbon Services and Zero Carbon Forum have earned multiple Footprint Awards and the 2025 Consultancy of the Year award from BusinessGreen.
