Robert Richardson FIH MI is Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Hospitality (IoH), the world’s largest professional body for hospitality professionals. His career spans from hotel floor staff to General Manager roles at leading brands such as Hilton Worldwide, IHG, and Ramada Jarvis, before applying his expertise to luxury independent properties in England.

A passionate advocate for inclusivity and professional development, Robert led IoH to win the Chartered Governance Institute UK&I “Diversity & Inclusion Strategy of the Year” award in 2021. Internationally recognised, he has been named among the 100 Most Powerful People in Europe’s Hospitality Industry (2022–2023) and one of the 50 Most Inspirational People in Global Hospitality (2024). In 2022, he was appointed an Honorary Master Innholder, underscoring his leadership in shaping global hospitality standards.

Robert is a frequent speaker on the international stage and serves as a trustee for Room to Reward, a charity celebrating volunteer contributions.
