Verification

Food, Drink & Hospitality Week has a visitor verification to ensure that the attendees of the events are individuals with a genuine business interest in the brands, products and content on offer. This includes automated and manual checks against information provided on the registration form.

Why do you have a visitor verification process?

FDHW is a business trade event that serves professionals in food and drink (manufacturing, supply and distribution), foodservice, catering and hospitality, with the aim of bringing them together to buy and source products, share knowledge and create genuine business connections. To ensure the intentions of all visitors support this aim, and to create a productive and successful business environment that benefits both our visitors and exhibitors, the trade status of visitors is now being verified.

What information is being checked?

Information provided by visitors on the registration form is checked against information available in the public domain. This includes but is not limited to name, email address and domain, job title, company, LinkedIn profile and company website. If this information is not sufficient, additional information may be requested.

How to ensure that my registration is verified?

We encourage all visitors to register with a valid business email address to allow us to verify your trade status quicker. If you do not have a business email, you can register with a valid personal email address and your trade status will be checked against your LinkedIn profile or a company website. It will be mandatory to provide additional information if you register with a personal email address so please ensure all information provided, including your email, is correct and accurate.

What constitutes as false, illegitimate or irrelevant registration?

The FDHW team reserves the right to decline a registration or refuse a visitor entry if they deem the information provided or the business relevance illegitimate. This includes but it is not limited to:

  • Fake or inactive businesses or profiles including LinkedIn or websites.

  • Incorrect information provided e.g. fake email address or false claims to work at relevant companies.

  • Claims of new business or start-up business owners with no proof of legitimacy.

  • Retired professionals with no active involvement with the industry.

  • Attempts to register multiple times under various personal details.

  • Service providers or professionals not relevant to the industry.

  • False press or journalist professionals with no proof of legitimacy or activity.

What if I believe there has been a mistake?

You can contact the team at ht360@montgomerygroup.com and we will respond in 2-3 working days. Please provide as much proof as possible, this can include but is not limited to:

  • LinkedIn profile or company website URL

  • Proof of employment (current or previous) at legitimate companies relevant to the event

  • A referral from another industry professional with contact details – will also require proof of ID of individual making the referral

What is the best way to register for FDHW?

If you can, please register with a valid business email well in advance of 29th March 2026. If you only have a valid personal email address, please ensure the additional information to verify your trade status is correct and accurate. False or incorrect email addresses will be declined.

We strongly encourage all visitors to register before arriving at Excel for FDHW. This will allow us to verify your professional status well in advance, allowing you quick and easy access to the event.

Can I register on the day?

Yes you can register on the day but you will be charged £50 + VAT and due to the large volume of visitors to the event, you may experience delays in approving your registration and extended queues at the onsite registration desk. We strongly encourage all visitors to register before arriving to allow plenty of time to verify your professional status well in advance. This will ensure quick and easy access to the event.

Registration will close at 2pm on Wednesday 1 April 2025.

Why are you charging from 29th March 2026?

The £50 + VAT onsite charge is to encourage visitors to register before arriving onsite and to discourage any non-trade visitors attempting to enter the event.

Due to the volume of visitors at FDHW and verification of trade status, we strongly advise that you register, free of charge, by 29th March 2025. This will allow plenty of time to verify your professional status well in advance. This will ultimately ensure quick and easy access to the event.

Any queries regarding this can be handled onsite with the team at the main registration desk.

For full payment terms and conditions please see here.

What if my registration hasn't been approved by 29th March?

There will be a dedicated registration desk located in the central boulevard at Excel for any outstanding registration queries and onsite registration. Please be aware that this will be extremely busy, and you may need to queue.
